My car makes a very loud squealing noise when I start it, I gun it and it stops.
Squealing often caused by loose or worn engine accessory belt. Ask your shop to temporarily remove accessory/serpentine belts and briefly idle engine. If sound goes away, you know it is something on belt path or belt. Remind your shop, brief test only, as important functions done by those belt-path parts, like cooling system water pump.
