2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee shuts off while driving

I own a 2008 Grand Cherokee 3.0 liter Diesel engine. When I’m driving the engine will shut off on me, I pull to the side of the road and stop the truck… Turn the ignition key and the engine will start… It keeps doing it sometimes twice a day or other times once every four or five days. Any suggestions as to what I do? Thank you,

Anytime I hear someone say that the vehicle shuts off while driving, I suspect the Crankshaft Position Sensor.

If the computer loses the signal from this sensor, the computer see’s no reason to operate the fuel system.
