2008 Honda Accord V6

Lately, when I put the car into Park, I often hear a short beeping noise…sometimes one tone, sometimes two. Nothing seems to be wrong with the transmission, and my mechanic has no idea what it is.

Any wisdom out there?

This is just a guess, but perhaps this is the same beep that comes on to remind you to put on your seatbelt, and because of an electrical glitch, it is coming on under certain conditions–even when your seatbelt is on.
Try to compare the sounds to see if my WAG has any merit.

If I am correct, it may be a b*tch to track down and fix the electrical problem, but maybe it will be simpler than I fear.

Where is the noise coming from? It might be coming from one or two of the door locks engaging when you put the car in Park.
