2008 ford taurus x sel fan runs after ignition is off, drains battery. Is there a way to.disarm this feature?
That is not a feature, it is a malfunction. The fan control module has failed.

Does the fan run until the battery is dead? If conditions call for it, Some vehicles will run the cooling fan for a bit after the car is off, but it should stop after 5 minutes or so at the most.
if your fan runs continuously until the battery is dead, then Nevada_545 is likely correct. If it shuts off and your battery still dies, then you may have a separate issue.
