2008 Chevrolet Avalanche - Electrical glitch

my truck has had issues for several years, it has been infrequent once every 3-4 mos at random times, but lately it is getting worse, at first I would try to start the truck at home or out and it wouldn’t briefly, I would wait a few seconds and then it would start and run just fine, the only thing I noticed was I would have to reset my clock every time this happened, in the past couple months this has happened twice but worse, 2 mos ago I drove to the store, then got back in the truck and it won’t start, connected a portable jump starter, lights came back on and it started and then it worked just fine for a month then yesterday I drove several places, on my way to the last place the highway had some work on it, bumpy, after one of the bumps the car acted crazy, locks going up and down, the light on the dashboard kept shifting from drive to park but this did not affect the engine, I pulled over to a parking lot, turned off the engine, then it did not start, the key fob wouldn’t work to lock the doors, the truck wouldn’t do anything, I put a portable jump starter on it and the lights came back on normally and it started normally, disconnected the jump starter, then turned the engine off restarted it and it acts fine but I had it towed to a shop

Loose and or dirty battery cable connections would cause every problem you listed.

Thanks for the advice!

It_s_Me’s advice is very likely spot on but if by chance it doesn’t solve the problem have the battery and alternator tested.

The mechanic said he would retest the battery and alternator. he did this a month ago and they were fine but he will retest He said its hard to diagnose because the truck is acting fine now, the problem is not occuring today, so he was going to start the truck then move some of the wires and cables to see if he could make the problem happen
I am considering getting a new battery, mine is 2017 and alternator- it could be the original, we bought the truck used 4 yrs ago, the truck has 180,000 miles on it, I have a new starter already, I’ve been afraid to drive it out of town because of this problem, just would like peace of mind,
I also wonder if it could be an electric problem, faulty wiring, the computer, a fuse?
