My wife’s 2008 Cadillac CTS has a buzzing/ticking noise which seems to be coming from the tachometer/speedometer directly linked to the rpms…only when the outside temp is below 50 degrees… above 50 degrees…the noise is totaly gone! Dealer says it’s normal!!
Anyone have some ideas?
Contact the Customer Care personnel (or whatever they call them nowadays) at the corporate level. Contact information is in your Owner’s Manual. For the amount of money that you paid for that car, you should not accept the usual dealer BS.
Not normal; make him fix it. You have a good guarantee for that, 5 years or 100,000 miles I believe it is.
“They all do that” is an old ploy. I had it done to me with a car long ago and will not permit it again. Ask to drive a demo to prove your point or to let the dealer prove his.
That is a ratty dealer that would tell you that.
Dealer says it’s normal!!
See if you can get the dealer to put that in writing. That would be really fun.
Insist that they deal with the problem. If they refuse again, ask for the district representative’s phone number.
