2007 Toyota Solara - How to Know if Timing Belt Replaced

Just bought car with 214,000 miles on it. The previous owner does not know if the timing belt was replaced at the recommended 200,000 mark. Is there any way for me to know if it was replaced?

If the previous owner can’t remember doing it, assume it needs replacement. However if he always uses the same shop, they might have a record.

Look for a label on the engine or under the hood indicating the odometer reading when the timing belt was replaced.

When in doubt… Change it out!
