I have 2007 2.4 Chysler Sebring. The thing is sounding like a truck right now. My brother looked at it, says it sounds like something is wrong with the pulley system where the belts are. The sound is not coming from the engine. There are no lights coming on. It not the exhaust system. The sound is like a knocking with a whirrling sounds. Its very annoying and embarrassing. Anyone else have this issue. I am finding that this car is plagued with noise issues…
Um… the pulley system where the belts are IS part of the engine.
There are many, many things that could cause a sound that fits this description. Many of them if not addressed will result in a totally destroyed engine. I suggest you get this to a shop without delay.
