2007 Mazda Mazda5 - Tranny Growl When Coasting

There’s a slight how Long sound from trans. It’s automatic, with bout 130k.
Only used synthetic trans fluid since 80k…Mazda spec.
Trans shifts fine. Can manual downshifting be a factor.
My mechanic feels it’s ok.
But I (the only full time driver), can hear this slight growl…especially when coasting (level ground) to a traffic light.
Apply gas, sound disappears

Growling sounds are often caused by wheel bearings on the fritz. Whining sounds could be from the trans though, either the gears or more likely the differential. This is a front wheel drive, right? Trans fluid level correct, right?
