I just had an oil change done at a chain franchise to the tune of $75. My question is, how can I be sure I ended up with the full synthetic oil I paid for? Is there a test other than lab analysis or is the process regulated to insure honesty?
I don’t think Ray ever answers questions here . Why not just return to the place and ask them to show you the drum they pumped the oil from . Frankly I myself would not even worry about it and the next time go some place I could trust.
Agree with @VOLVO_V70 Find a place you can trust. It will be worth it in the long run.
And no, there is no easy (or cheap) way to test whether you actually got synthetic or semi-synthetic or regular oil.
