My 2006 Nissan Xterra is making a sound similar to a baseball card in the spokes of a bicycle tire each time the brakes are applied and the car is coming to a stop. The sound is definitely “rotational” meaning it sounds like it comes around each time the tire or axle rotates. Its not the brakes themselves, as I recently had them changed and then reinspected after this sound continued. Of course, my mechanic cannot hear it, but it does seem to be getting worse. It only can be heard when the brakes are applied as if coming to a stop sign.
