2006 Infiniti FX35 engine “lugs” on start-up

Sometimes my car is hard to start. When it starts the engine lugs for about 15 seconds and the it comes up to speed. My mechanic says that’s just the way it works. Anybody else have this problem or know a fix.

Have you tried a simple throttle body cleaning yet? It may or may not help but it is worth a try.

Really, me thinks a different mechanic is needed here.
