There are two 12V power outlets inside my 2005 Saturn VUE. They always have power available, whether the car is on or not. I’d like to change that. Is there an easy (or somewhat easy) way to make it so that the outlets only deliver power when the ignition switch is in the on position?
No easy way that is guaranteed not to cause a short. Don’t fool with it unless you want smoke.
I agree. You never know what might be plugged into one of these outlets when you start the vehicle. Adding a circuit to the key switch could cause some real problems. We are in the vehicle computer age don’t you know.
