My 2005 Pontiac Vibe is a fantastic little car that has been extremely reliable and fuel efficient over its very, very long life. However, in the past year it has developed the embarrassing habit of ‘burping’ gasoline when I fill it up. As soon as the pump clicks off, there is a brief gush of fuel from the tank inlet. I am now ‘persona non grata’ at the warehouse club pumps because the attendant has to rush over and clean up the spill. Is this fixable or must I live with my car’s senior moments?
Of course it is fixable . Just call a few independent shops and see which one wants to solve this . Also you can use Yelp or any online review site to see if the shop has good ratings.
