I have a 2005 nissan pathfinder with 72,000 miles . recently my dad cleaned the trottle body with some throttle spray and wiped it so mow it’s all clean. But now the car idles high and the check engine light is now on. So what might be the problem and what do I have to do to fix it?
No one here can even start to know.
Did he remove the throttle body from the engine, dink around with any throttle plate screws, remove the IAC valve, etc.?
Did he use Throttle cleaner or Carb Cleaner???
If the later…then you may be looking at a new throttle body.
