2005 Mazda Tribute 3.0L warm start stalling

Hi there, I have a 2005 Mazda Tribute 3.0L and it’s been stalling out after warm starts. When performing a cold start, the car works fine, but after the car has been running at least 15-20 minutes, if the car is shut off and I attempt to restart it, it will turn over then sputter and stall after a few seconds. If the engine is revved while the car is still in park, this will sometimes keep the car from stalling, but sometimes it still will still stall. No error codes were thrown when the car stalled, and I have not reset my PCM. Things that I have done to try to fix the problem include:

  • Replaced MAF senson
  • Replaced fuel rail pressure sensor
  • Poured fuel injector cleaner into gas tank
  • Replace fuel pump
  • Found a leaking vacuum hose connected to the fuel rail pressure sensor and replaced it
  • Cleaned throttle body
Any help/insight into what may be causing this problem would be greatly appreciated!

Try cleaning/replacing the idle air control valve.

This valve is what controls the engine idle speed under all conditions.

Sometimes these valves are effected by heat where they fail to go to the proper position for the idle condition.
