Do you have a CEL on?? (check engine light)
If so, then what are the codes??

Beaucoup possible reasons from bad gas to poor maintenance. Starting point is CEL codes.
Other info we would like:
Engine
Transmission
Mileage
1500 or 2500 series
My guess, you have a 5.3 with automatic.

Dirty fuel filter, engine air filter, or clogged cat could cause that. As mentioned above, there are many other possibilities. Is the symptom worse in certain situations, like when the engine coolant is cold?
