What does it mean when your car won’t start unless you give it gas
It can mean you have leaking fuel injectors. If the injectors leak fuel into the engine when the fuel pump comes on when you cycle the ignition key, pressing the gas pedal adds a bit of air so it starts and doesn’t flood. Buy some fuel injector cleaner at the auto parts store. Enough for 2 tanks of gas. Run 2 tanks thru the car with the injector cleaner added to the tank. Should clear that up.
