2005 - 2010 Odyssey (3rd generation) locking armrests

Greetings,

I own a 2010 Honda Odyssey. The cabin seats (driver and front passenger) have armrests that lock in place. It is a sort of racheting action.

Does anyone know the correct name for this type of functionality in an armrest?

Does anyone know if the locking mechanism is in the armrest itself, or attached to the seat back?

Lastly, suppose I find a salvage yard that I could rescue some armrests from, does anyone have any suggestions for properly removing the armrests from an Odyssey?

The reason I ask, is that I own a 2003 RV and I badly want to get a set of locking armrests for it.

Thanks for any help!

Might be worthwhile to contact who ever made your RV or a RV accessory supplier. You could consider replacing the seats in your RV with the Honda seats.

Heya VOLVO_V70!

Thanks for the idea. I hadn’t really considered replacing the whole seat before, but I suppose it is a possibility. Albeit, more costly and probably more work. But it might be a nice solution.

Thanks again for the suggestion!
