2004 pacifica ran hot will not start

drove the car last night and did not notice a leak until i drove the car about 10 miles this morning and it ran hot. let it cool for about an hour, added water and tried to start but it would not (no water in the resevoir)

It’s possible that the overheating may not only have blown a head gasket but done in the piston rings. If the compression is low enough it will never start.

The first step should be performing a compression test and determining if the vehicle needs a new engine. If so, then it’s decision time as to whether to spend some money or scrap the car.
