I understand that these CD players are historically bad. Mine seems to hang and then pick back up at the same spot instead of skipping sections of music. Is there anything I can do short of replacing the entire system?
Usually a CD player problem is best resolved by buying another player new or used from a salvage yard. It’s just not cost effective to have a CD player or radio repaired anymore. There is no need to replace the entire system if the speakers are good. Make sure the unit you buy is plug and play. Cutting/splicing wires should never be attempted because of the possibility of damaging the ECU (computer) or other electronic components.
