Tornado dropped a tree on my car so I am driving our old truck while it is the shop. Problem: the fan will start blowing hot air! Can be 5 minutes or half an hour of driving, surface roads or highway, doesn’t matter if A/C is on or off. And only on the driver’s side! Passenger side is ok. The only fix is to stop driving (pull off the road & restart the truck.) Then it is good again for awhile. I’ve had it to a local garage and they don’t believe me. (Did I mention I am a female?) Hope there is an easy fix … truck is too old to put much money into it. Thanks for any insight you might have!
Likely a bad blend door actuator. Common problem on these trucks. Not expensive to repair.
