I had the no start with my 03 Taurus SE one morning. The starter was apparently weak. So I put on a new one. Now the starter revs, but the engine is not cranking at all. The new starter came with a solenoid which engaged the starter gear fine and the flywheel teeth are fine too. I wasn’t able to pull the flywheel or drive belt a bit. What can I do to confirm the engine is locked up, and loosen it up if confirmed? Now, how close am I to the smell of a new car?
Have you checked the condition of your battery and it’s connections?
