my ford diesel will not start sometimes since I ran the tank dry one day. maybe it will start after lots of cranking and throttle, then clears out gray smoke from exhaust and sounds runs fine. mostly makes an attempt to start but nada.
Wonder if running tanks dry got contaminants into the fuel filter. Might start with a fuel pressure check.
Everyone I know that has ran their ford diesels out of fuel, burned up the “High Pressure Diesel Injection Pump”, Once you find out the cost of replacement, you’ll never run it out of fuel again.
