My son put gas in a diesel tank by mistake. He tried to start the truck but it wouldn’t start. What are the chances of engine damage?
The engine itself won’t be damaged. The tank needs to be drained, if it has an externally fuel filter, that should be changed. The shop may need to blow out the fuel line. The shop should know how to address the issue.
