I have a 2003 chevy impala that won’t start it does not recognize park or neutral but it recognizes reverse drive and 321 I’m thinking it’s the safety neutral switch which I think is in the transmission. I can jump the solenoid and it will start. Anybody have any input on this problem
If it doesn’t start in park or neutral then it’s most likely the neutral safety switch. I have never seen one that wouldn’t start in either gear so I suspect that the neutral safety switch connector is loose or has become disconnected. Check that out before you try to replace the switch.
