I have a 2003 beetle. It will shift into park, but it seems that the side button on the shifter is not coming all the way out. Because of this my car is not recognizing that it is all the way in park and the key will not come out.
It shifts fine and the side button pops back out in all other situations. Please help!
My guess is you need a linkage adjustment.
