Hi, I have a 2002 Saturn SL2. For a few weeks now, there’s some mettalic noise coming from the rear left (like 2 metallic discs rubbing against each other).
Over the last few days, the sound has decreased to more of a metallic rumble that sometimes increases when accelerating. And the sounds does become loud, it usually dies down when I apply brakes. Also, the noise doesn’t start until after I’ve driven for at least 10 minutes.
And yeah, my tires are worn out and I am getting all 4 of them replaced today - could that be the issue?
Any suggestions on what could be going wrong? Thanks!
When your tires are being replaced ask the shop to give your rear brakes a once-over.
