First start up of the day, when auto trans is put into Drive, just sits for several seconds before engaging. After a few days also became a problem in Reverse. Getting worse. Taking longer and now sometimes bucks & jumps after stopping and starting forward again. Sound like torque converter? Any thoughts/experiences appreciated.
Fluid level and condition? Last fluid change, if any and miles on the car? Overall does not sound very hopeful.
Check the fluid level. It should be up to the ‘full hot’ line after 20 minutes of driving. Since the problem is getting worse quickly, you may have a leak so check for signs.
