I have a 2002 AWD V8 Mercury Mountaineer with 166K miles. We replaced the transmission at 130K. Now we are told we have a crack in the transfer case and need it replaced along with the viscous clutch and they will check on the bearings in there. Repair quote was $1600-1800. Does that sound like a reasonable amount for such a repair?
