Hi, I have a 2002 Honda Accord 2.3L 2-Door. The main problem I am having with it is after sitting in the parking lot overnight, I would try to start the vehicle and it will just crank and will not turn over. What I would have to do to get it started is jump the car. It all began about 1 month ago. I fixed the problem before by changing the main relay and it seemed to have fixed the problem. This morning, the problem started back up again after 2 weeks of perfect starts. This time when I jumped the car, it would start, the engine would not rev past 500 rpm, then die. Any help or advice would be great. Thanks in advance!
I’m not sure why jumping it makes any difference, but it sounds like it is starved for fuel. This could be from a bad fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, clogged fuel line or maybe a bad fuel pump relay or dirty/loose connection between the relay and the pump.
The only part that jumping would play is that the fuel pump would be getting about 14 volts instead of 12.6.
