My 2002 Chrysler Sebring Limited Convertible interior drivers door handle has come unattached from the cable to the latch. The metal connector at the end of the cable has broken, and the part is apparently no longer available. My regular garage is not interested in attempting a repair (cable tie, JB weld, whatever) without the factory part. I tried unsuccessfully to remove the interior panel panel myself. I could get the panel off enough to see the part that hed failed, but not enough to attempt a repair. Suggestions?
Find one that will repair it. Look for specialty shops that build hot rods or install performance upgrades. They usually have at least one fabricator in the crew.
