2002 Cadillac Escalade - tires lose air

I assumed that wheels on my 2002 Escalade would last my lifetime, for some reason the wheels are peeling and my tires are going flat, have to air up all time. How do I get this fixed without buying new wheels. I am a 75 year old female and I done want to be taken advantage of by some slick talking salesman.

The clear coat will eventually fail, just cosmetic, they can be refinish, but I have no clue on the cost.
As far as not holding air, tires must be removed and the shop needs to clean the inside of the rim to creat a good seal.

Are the wheels chrome plated? If so, they lasted way longer than most.

For silver painted wheels, 17 years is still pretty good life. An aftermarket set of wheels can be purchased for about $800 total from a wheel and tire specialty shop. Factory wheels would cost about 3 times more so stay away from the dealer.
