drops down to 2nd gear . Have to stop and turn off engine and restart then it goes ok again for a while.
When??? While doing 70 mph it drops down?? We need a little more info on when it does it and at what speed please… Is this a 4-2 kickdown, 3-2 kickdown???
Your " RE4F04B" transmission has some known problems with the * No 3rd after 4-2 or 3-2 kickdown
- Leaky, worn, bad design direct clutch (3rd) inner seal…
Don’t think that is your issue but not much to go on until we have more info…
Might be limp mode. Is the check engine light on? Are there any active diagnostic codes in computer memory?
