Does anyone know if I should buy an Infiniti catalytic converter at $1400 or have a mechanic “weld” in a generic one at $500. I’m female and not car-savvy. Thanks,

The federal warranty is 8 years or 80,000 miles for your truck. If you are under both limits, you can get it replaced by Infiniti.
If not, how long do you plan to keep the truck? If it’s just a few more years, there shouldn’t be a problem. Make sure that the catalytic converter uses stainless steel and that all the tubes are stainless as well.
