2001 Hundai Santa Fe

I recently bought a 2001 Hundai Santa Fe with 102,000 miles on it. It has the 2.7 litre V6 automatic 4 Wheel drive and it has a lot of pep. Twice in the last four days when I came to a stop and put the the vehicle in park the engine RPM’s whent WAY UP, well above the normal idling rat. Any helpful info?

Check the Idle Air Control (IAC).
It may need to be cleaned or it may need to be replaced.
