My 2000 ECHO only has 169,000 miles on it. I still like the car, and would like to keep it for a few more years. But recently, the ignition switch won’t turn to start the car except after numerous tries. Eventually, it turns. One mechanic told me it was not fixable. I would hate to think the car was coming to the end of it’s useful life with such low mileage. What can I do to keep the car in use for a while?
Put ( ignition switch for 2000 Toyota Echo ) in your search engine . Call a local Toyota dealer . Check with a national parts house . Ask a shop if they can put in some kind of bypass stating button ( With the doors locked it should not be stolen ) . Also talk to a lock smith .
