2000 lincoln continental

would it make a good used car? only has 104K one owner miles and seems to be in good shape.

“seems to be in good shape”

I hope you are basing that assessment on a mechanical inspection by your own mechanic, plus some other factors!

If you are basing “seems to be in good shape” on outward appearances, you are taking a very large risk, no matter how good these Lincolns were when they were new.

Ideally, you will be able to examine the car’s maintenance records, and compare them to the Ford Maintenance Schedule, in order to make sure that the car was maintained at least as well as the mfr specifies. And, even then, you still need to have your mechanic examine it for collision damage and developing mechanical problems.

And, don’t fall for a “clean Carfax report”. More often than not, vital information is missing from those reports.

Big weak point on these cars are the air suspension. Make sure it’s in great shape as repairs to the system are super pricey.

The gas mileage is 15 city, 23 highway. If that doesn’t bother you, it could be worth buying after a prepurchase inspection by a good mechanic.
