I drive a V8 but when I hit the gas it sooner sluggish taking off
Offhand I’d suspect a faulty throttle position sensor. OTOH, if it’s revving without moving you have transmission problems.
Is the check engine light on? How many miles on it?
Most of my older cars eventually got sluggish too. Mostly after about 300,000 miles. Darn junk, that brand new car performance just slowly fades away.
