I have a Honda CR-V that has had its ‘check engine light’ on for some time. Hoping all i had to do was change the plugs.WRONG!!! There was engine oil in all 4 spark plug wells. Car has 150k on odo.
Thoughts?
There are seals around the heads where the plugs are located that might mean a relatively simple fix. Get a good Honda mechanic to look over the motor, it may not be as bad as you think.

Go to a local auto parts store tomorrow (Advance, Auto Zone, etc.) and have them pull the engine codes with their scanner. In most states they will do this for free. Then, post back with the codes in the form “P0123” and the regulars can help you out.
