i have a 2000 ford ranger with 135,000 miles, on colder mornings (about 60 degrees and below) as u drive down the road wen u stop and engage the clutch u hear a whirring noise. (it sounds about like a transmission that is low on fluid) after u go about 2-3 miles it stops?? any ideas???
It could be that or a throwout bearing getting old. You can test it by keeping the bearing and putting a new truck around it. If you still hear the noise, put the new bearing back in.
