The computer went out in my dodge and I got a new one but do I necessarily have to have it flashed or will it run without it being flashed
I might be wrong and others here will know better, but I think if you got it out of another 2000 ram it should work. but if its new after market or from dealer it would need to be flashed.
A software update is known as a “flash”, you would need to have access to Mopar Tech Authority for the software.
You don’t need that. Replacing the PCM requires basic data entry, the VIN, odometer value and pinion value (axle ratio and tire size). A professional scan tool can enter this data.
