My Neon is leaking oil, from the valve cover gasket. This happened a year ago but stopped whent the weather warmed up. Is this gasket shrinking in the cold, we just recently had a cold snap with some -30 degree nights, Or is it just getting old and dried out? There is enough oil that it is getting on the exhaust manifold, and burning, and leaving spots on the garage floor.

You can try torquing the valve cover bolts, if that does not work replace the gasket.
