car wont start,security light comes on,wait 20 or so minutes,start and runs good.
Is there an anti-theft system? If so, is it installed at the factory or by someone else?

To me, this sounds like a typical problem with GM’s anti-theft system. The later PassLock systems are much better than the earlier PassKey system, but they can still be trouble-prone.

What does the car do when it won’t start?
Turn the key and nothing happens at all?
Turn the key, and dash lights come on, but engine does not try to start?
Turn the key, dash lights come on, engine tries to start, but turns over slowly?
Turn the key, dash lights come on, engine tries to start, turns over normally, but just won’t fire?
Something different?
