When the weather gets colder and car is shifted into gear if I don’t let it warmup for a minute or two it “clunks” into gear and I am afraid it may eventually affect the transmission. Trans fluid was changed recently. The fast idle is needed when cold,I’m sure when warming up,and it does come down properly. Is there cause for concern?
Thank you, Jim
Was the proper transmission fluid used? If this fluid change was done at a fast-oil-change place, the answer might be no. Is the transmission fluid currently at the correct level?
