Have you checked the level of your Auto Trans fluid? Ever changed it? Is there a way to check the fluid with a dipstick on this vehicle? Open the hood…check.
Start w/a routine transmission service. That means to replace the transmission fluid w/fresh, inspect for any unusual metal debris in the bottom of the pan, clean the pan, and replace the filter(s), whichever of those are applicable for your transmission. Every transmission configuration is different. If a routine trans servicing doesn’t do the trick you’ll have to consult a transmission specialist that works on VW’s.
