My 1999 Toyota Corolla makes a rattling noise that sounds like an empty soda can when I turn the wheel to the right. The sound goes away when I straighten up, and doesn’t make the sound when I turn to the left. The sound doesn’t happen when I’m idling, only when I have my foot on the gas.
You might have a worn out CV joint, or it could be something in the steering or suspension. I’d suggest you take it to a mechanic for a test drive and professional opinion.
I also have a 99 Corolla. The sound you hear are coming from the stabilizer bar links. The cost of replacing them is very cheap.Part is around $30 each.Takes around 30 minutes to do each side.
