Have you actually checked for spark when it won’t start? If starter fluid didn’t do anything then perhaps you have no fire.

hi, sorry you are right, actually this is a friends car and he posted the new thread, but he is very mech. inclind and has tried the other post and / or read the suggestion, without positive results.
