1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Cooling Fan Relay Location

Anyone know where the cooling fan relay is located in a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

I’ve looked in the fuse boxs under the dash & next to the battery.

I also followed the cooling fan wire back to the fuse & didn’t see it.

Could it be named something less obvious than Cooling Fan Relay?

Here is a picture of the relay. It shows the relay having two mount holes. http://www.autozone.com/R,34466/vehicleId,2534101/initialAction,partProductDetail/store,1140/partType,01337/shopping/partProductDetail.htm

This is what ALLDATA lists as the location and the procedure to access it.

The Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) cooling fan relay is located below the right headlamp behind the bumper fascia

Thanks guys, this was great advice.

I wasn’t previously aware that autozone.com had repair instructions.

Removing the all the facia, grill work and headlights was a bit of a hassle but the job was done in about 2 hours and replacing the relay fixed the problem.

The original problem was that the fan wouldn’t stop running without disconnecting the fuse or battery! The thermostat tested okay so i was left to assume it must be the relay.
