I have a 1998 Mercedes Benz station wagon that has a habit of shutting itself off when I am driving. It has happened a bunch of times, and every time, once I put it in park, it will start again. Has any one ever heard of this phenomenon or know what might cause it? I appreciate any input. Thank you, Marcia
Does it also restert when you put it in Neutral ?
If it does, it’s either the transmission isolator switch is faulty or the transmission linkage needs adjustment. Any decent mechanic could handle this job.
